The 502d Contracting Squadron, for the 502d Civil Engineer Squadron, is conducting market research on industry capability to furnish and install 48 1.25-ton Dedicated Outside Air System water-source heat pumps (DOAS WSHP). The turnkey requirement includes complete removal and replacement of 48 ceiling-suspended units installed above exterior breezeway ceilings in buildings B3631 and B3635 at JBSA Ft Sam Houston, San Antonio Military Medical Center Dormitory Annex, with all personnel, management, equipment, rigging, materials, and supervision. Replacement units must meet strict dimensions to fit through existing structural door openings without structural demolition, use low-GWP refrigerant such as R-454B or R-32 (R-410A prohibited), and include integral 3.75 kW hydronic pre-heat coil, hot gas reheat/bypass, and complete BACnet IP/MSTP BAS integration. The project is projected as a firm-fixed-price purchase order structured as a commodity buy with incidental removal and installation services.
