The 673d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska is seeking sources for local commercial communications services at the JBER Medical Treatment Facility under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1). This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is pursuant to FAR PART 10 in support of Market Research being conducted by the United States Air Force to identify potential sources to perform continuous support and determine if this effort can be competitive. This is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication that a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market research. No funds are available to fund the information solicited. The Government will use this information to determine the best future acquisition strategy for this procurement. 673 MDSS/SCM has a requirement for a Commercial Telecommunication/Trunk-line Service at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) Hospital, Alaska. This will be Firm Fixed-Price Purchase Order with one (1) year base period and four (4) one-year periods, IWA 52.217-9 "Option to Extend the Term of the Contract”. In addition, an optional six (6) month extension IAW 52.217-8 “Option to Extend Services.” The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and inspections/certifications for continuous support of the Joint Base Elmendorf – Richardson (JBER) Medical Treatment Facility’s requirement for local commercial communications services throughout its campus.
