THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR INFORMATION AND ACQUISITION PLANNING PURPOSES. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND A FORMAL SOLICITATION IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE AN RFQ, CONTRACT, OR ORDER. Any contractor who wishes to identify their interest and capability to meet these requirements should provide the following: company capability statement, specifications on current contracts that reflect similar services being requested. Vendors are encouraged to provide contract numbers for 628 Contracting Squadron to reference past performance. Lastly, please provide your company's business profile to include business size, CAGE Code and DUNS. Notification shall be e-mailed to mitch.mickley@us.af.mil. Please notify the Contract Specialist no later than 12:00 PM Eastern Time, Dec 27th, 2018. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Motorcycle Safety Courses: 1) Basic Rider Course, 2) Basic Rider Course two, 3) Advance Rider Course, for Joint Base Charleston (JB CHS)-Weapon Station (WS), Charleston SC. The purpose of the acquisition is to provide beginner and advanced motorcycle safety courses to military, Government civilian personnel and dependents basic and advanced motorcycle safety courses. A prospective contractor/instructor shall possess a MSF BRC, BRC 2, and ARC instructor certifications issued by MSF or their agents. 1. Basic Rider Course (BRC): Covers the basics of operating a motorcycle and safety-oriented mental strategies. Motorcycles and helmets are provided for your use. Successful completion of this course, consisting of five hours of formal classroom activities and ten hours of riding instruction conducted over two or three sessions, plus its knowledge and skill tests. 2. BRC Course 2: For riders who already have basic skills. Similar to the BRC except speeds are higher and you should be on your own motorcycle. An excellent refresher course for practicing and renewing riding skills. Includes an informal classroom component for discussing safety concepts based on past riding experiences and current knowledge. 3. Advanced Rider Course (ARC): A one-day course that complements your basic skills and helps with personal risk assessment. It includes a fast-paced classroom segment with several fun interactive activities to improve perception and hazard awareness. Range exercises enhance both basic operating skills and crash-avoidance skills. Improving your braking and cornering finesse is emphasized. The course is beneficial for riders on any type of street motorcycle.
