Please ensure to give yourself enought time to obtain the the pass prior to the scheduled site visit. Please provide a list of all attendees names (as reflecte on their driver's license) who plan on being at the site visit,include title and a telephone number for each individual. Offerors are encouraged to visit the site and tale steps as may be reasonably necessary to ascertain the nature and location of work and the general and local conditions that can affecct the work or cost thereof. Failure to do so will not relieve offerors from the responsibility for estimating properly the difficulty or cost of successfull perforing the work. The Government will assume no responsibility for any understanding or representation concerning conditions made by any of it officers or agents prior to the execution of the contract, unless included in this RFP, the specification, or related documents. Scope: The proposal is to provide connectivity between buildings FAA buildings 3536 3540 3541 3542 with building 3539 where via fiber optic cable strands are to be cross connected to building 3507. At 3507 Camp Shelby existing network cable strands will be cross connected to panel K in the network fiber cabinet. This panel is the feeder to bid 3539. The cable that Camp Shelby has in the cabinet is the feeder from Building 3601. At 3601 the fiber ring can connect back to building 6606 where ATT has a network connection POP. Within Buildings 3536,3540, 3541 3542 two cat 6 cables will be installed for Cisco wireless access point. These WAP units will be installed on the new cables as part of this contract. All cross connects will be made within the five buildings to make a network connection back to 3507 where Camp Shelby DOIM will provide connectivity back to a Internet POP. This new work is to provide connectivity back to Camp Shelby 6606 for the purpose of providing commercial Internet service that can be provided by ATT or other providers. The network feed must is assumed to be available thought the Camp Shelby fiber ring. And any repairs or work necessary to make the link up to build FAA block building 3507 is not include. The contractor shall be solely responsible for any labor, equipment, tools, or materials. The contractor shall meet or exceed all applicable standards regarding materials and workmanship. The contractor shall be responsible for gaining access to Camp Shelby and work directly with DPW prior to any digging or building modification.
