The item is classified AMC/AMSC “3 Z,” meaning it is a commercial/non-developmental/off-the-shelf part and the approved source is the actual manufacturer or vendor. Interested parties may submit source information directly to Contract Specialist John McCarthy at john.mccarthy@dla.mil. Companies not currently approved may pursue qualification through the DLA Land and Maritime Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program. A SAR package must include technical data demonstrating the prospective contractor can manufacture the product to the same or better quality than the OEM.
