Inc. A sole source Justification & Approval document is being coordinated and, upon approval, a copy of it will be posted here on SAM.gov to comply with the public display requirements of FAR 6.305. The proposed contract action is for a commercial Lutron hardware warranty support and maintenance service agreement for previously purchased proprietary, commercial off-the-shelf, brand-name Lutron hardware already integrated within the existing mission partner infrastructure in support of the DISA. This procurement will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Lutron Services Co., Inc., the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The required delivery date is August 15, 2023. The required hardware support or maintenance is essential to the Government’s requirement, as each OEM offers the only brand-name product support or maintenance to maintain the current infrastructure in place. Because the products are already integrated into the mission partner infrastructure, no other products can seamlessly integrate with the existing infrastructure without making changes to the baseline. Existing equipment were specifically designed to interface and operate with specific OEM products. Other hardware brands may provide similar functionality, but without rewriting the application source code and reconfiguration of system connectivity to integrate other OEMs’ solutions into existing OEM-centric environments, the competing programs would not be functional. Introducing alternative products would not meet the Government’s need for interoperability. At this time, the OEM, Lutron Services Co. Inc, is the only source capable of providing all necessary products. The regulatory authority for other than full and open competition is implemented by (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Companies who believe they can provide this product must indicate their interest in writing within 7 days of this notification and include a detailed capability statement. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided. All responsible sources will be considered in evaluating the determination to issue a sole-source contract. Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice cannot be accepted since this synopsis cannot be considered a request for quote or a request for proposal. A solicitation will NOT be posted to SAM.gov due to the sole source nature of the requirement. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code 541519 will be used for determining company size status.
