The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)’s Office of Strategic Communication and Public Affairs requires an integrated media monitoring and social listening tool as well as for daily executive media briefings. DISA Public Affairs’ is responsible for gathering information from worldwide media, analyzing this information, and using this analysis to inform operations or develop targeted messaging to apprise DISA’s stakeholders and customers. Curated media clips and an integrated media monitoring and social listening tool will ensure visibility of media and audiences related to DISA’s mission and its execution. The availability of this information will help DISA monitor media so public affairs professionals can shape and develop appropriate messaging to support DISA’s and the Department of Defense’s (DoD’s) mission. Relevant and timely information collected through national and international news media, may be used either to provide context about, or to make decisions on, issues that impact DISA operations. The research and analysis are derived primarily from publicly available sources, such as print/online news outlets, television, radio, blogs, tweets, other public-facing social media sources, and public opinion/public research organizations.
