The Workforce Services and Development (WSD) Directorate is seeking information for potential sources for Sign Language Interpreter Services & Blind/Visually Impaired Support Services. The WSD Directorate is tasked with ensuring interpreter and reader services that are available for those with hearing or vision disabilities for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in accordance with The Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Sections 501 and 505; Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990; The Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA); and Executive Order 13164: Requiring Federal Agencies to Establish Procedures to Facilitate the Provision of Reasonable Accommodation statute. These services cover a range of sign language interpreter service activities within but not limited to the National Capital Region (NCR). The majority of the deaf, blind and visually impaired community are located at DISA Headquarters Facility in Fort Meade, Maryland. The remaining are located at The Pentagon (Washington, DC) and other DISA sites with contiguous United States (CONUS) meetings and events continuously being conducted between all sites.
