1.SCOPE: The government requires new carpet for areas that support 24/7 365 operations. There will be heavy foot traffic on the carpet due to continuous operations. The carpet will be on a raised floor above power lines that require ongoing maintenance. Due to the maintenance that occurs, the carpet should be a square tile that does not require any permanent glue/placement and easily replaceable. 2. REQUIREMENT: 1160 square yards of dark modular carpet tiles for Room 220, 221, and 570 in Bldg 442, the MCS. • CARPET SHALL MEET THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS: • Carpet shall be a dark color with pattern, either black or grey • Carpet shall be easily replaced and will not require permanent glue • Carpet shall be specifically manufactured for durability in a 24/7 environment • Carpet shall be in individual square tiles that can be put together • Carpet tiles shall be no larger than 36” x 36” • Carpet tiles should be made of fabric that is stain resistant and dries quickly • Carpet shall have at least 5-year warranty for defective tile replacement • Contractor must be able to handle the installation of the carpet • Contractor must be able to demo the current carpet 3. DELIVERY: Deliverables: Liftgate required, limited access delivery. The contractor shall deliver 1160 square yards that meet the above requirements no more than 60 days after receipt of the order. Carpet shall be delivered to Building 442 located in the Restricted Area at Buckley Air Force Base, CO 80011. The delivery driver is required to be able to pass a background check to enter the Restricted Area. They will be escorted to the back-loading dock and will place the carpet on the loading dock. 4. INSTALLATION: Contractor will be responsible for removing the current carpet and installing the purchased product.
