This is a market survey for written information only*** This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This IS NOT a REQUEST for PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, or BIDS. Responses to this request will not be returned. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future and potential solicitation. It is the intent of the Contracting Office to use this information for market research purposes only. The survey is being conducted to determine the interest of industry within NAICS code #336611 -- Ship Building and Repairing, and establish that there are adequate Large and/or Small Business (HUBZONE 8(a) or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business) contractors for providing one Crane Barge (barge only, no crane) for use with a crawler crane. The Government WILL NOT pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of any such information. If a formal solicitation is released, it will be via Contract Opportunities (https://beta.sam.gov). The Army Corps of Engineers Marine Design Center intends to procure one steel inland rivers crane barge (barge only, no crane)for use with a crawler crane for the St. Paul District of the Corps of Engineers. The barge will be built to and classed by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). The barge will have the following principle dimensions: LOA - 150 feet – 0 inches Beam - 50 feet – 0 inches Depth - 10 feet – 0 inches Draft Waterline- 4 feet – 0 inches The barge shall have a deckhouse and underdeck machinery spaces. The barge electrical system shall be supported by one generator located on deck. Generator will be sized to support spud winches, hotel loads, and other auxiliary equipment. Three spuds shall be provided operated by spud hoisting winches. The Government is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to identify resources available to provide the crane barge. The barge shall be delivered to the following location: U.S. Army Engineer District, St. Paul Fountain City Service Base Fountain City, WI 54629 There will be Liquidated Damages associated with this procurement. Bonding will be required. Contractor is expected to deliver this requirement approximately 635 calendar days after notice to proceed (NTP).
