RELIABILITY AND MAINTAINABILITY (R&M) ENGINEERING SUPPORT FOR HELICOPTER

8(a) Set-Aside (FAR 19.8)
Notice ID:27-30029_RFI

The Government is conducting market research for reliability and maintainability (R&M) engineering support for Helicopter Division weapon systems, covering platforms TH-1H, UH-1N, HH-60W, and MH-139. This effort is an 8(a) set-aside, though responses from disadvantaged small businesses not certified as 8(a) are encouraged and will be considered case by case under FAR regulations. The planned contract is a five- to ten-year cost-plus-fixed-fee vehicle (base plus four to nine option years) that could continue through FY37, supporting tasks such as root cause analysis, preventative maintenance procedure updates, design modification recommendations, on-site technical assistance, targeted analyses, technical data updates, prototyping, and related R&M engineering services. The Contractor’s facility must be in the local area of Robins Air Force Base to support frequent face-to-face reviews and at minimum house program management and technical writer personnel, while manufacturing and engineering labs may be located elsewhere. Contractors must provide, maintain, and calibrate all support equipment, and replacement materials or parts must equal or exceed the quality of the originals.
