This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes. The work includes, but is not limited to, providing all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, and equipment required to inspect two water storage tanks. Perform modified visual inspections and ultrasonic testing of tank S-1 and S-2, to include the roofing, side walls and outer chine (perimeter of the floor bottom, sticking out of the walls). The inspector shall be API-653 certified. The API-653 certified inspector shall perform a modified API-653 in-service (not empty) tank inspection to include AWWA M42 standards. S-1/S-2 Tank Info: Type: Above ground, potable water, steel Capacity: 6 MG. Design S.P.G. 1.000 Oper. Temp 100 deg F. Dimensions:165’ in diameter, height: 40’ Built: 1996 AWWA Standard: D100-84. The contract term will be two weeks. Procurement Method: Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 561990 and the annual size standard is $12 million. Interested sources capable of providing the required services must respond by e-mail to sandy.sekiguchi@navy.mil no later than June 30, 2020. Interested sources shall indicate that they are capable of providing the required services and must indicate their size status (i.e., small business, 8(a), HUBZone, service disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB), women-owned small business (WOSB)). No other information is required at this time. Based upon the responses received, the Government will determine the set-aside method for the procurement. This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a purchase order. An award will not be made on responses to this notice.
