This Justification provides for a $1,238,884.57 modification to a previously awarded task order under a multiple award construction contract (MACC). The purpose of this modification is to replace existing, damaged sanitary sewer and storm drain lines, which are found to be out of scope in the current task order. The work is being awarded under the current task order to prevent additional reconstruction of the project’s crucial waterfront access road in the near future. The action requires the work to be performed immediately to meet Navy critical operational and maintenance schedules and considers any delay in execution as unacceptable risk to operations that support national security. This award brings the total cumulative face value of the task order to $29,597,696.95. Work will be performed within the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Northwest area of responsibility at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor, Washington with an expected completion date of 25 August 2025. Funding is provided by military construction and operations & maintenance, (Navy) funds. NAVFAC Northwest, Silverdale, Washington, is the contracting activity.
