The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Program Office, PMA?201, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Order on Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to The Boeing Company for the design, support for all necessary airworthiness certifications, and delivery of assets to the USN for the development of a universal hardback supporting Bomb Live Unit (BLU)?137 qualification efforts. Contract Award is anticipated for third quarter fiscal year (FY) 2024. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302?1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Joint Direct Attack Munition/Laser Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM/LJDAM) hardback on the new BLU? 137. The Boeing Company is the only known contractor with the requisite knowledge, maintenance and repair experience, and noncommercial technical data and software rights to meet the Government’s requirements for the JDAM/LJDAM universal hardback in support of the BLU?137.
