The intent of this Synopsis, in accordance with FAR 5.201, is to add the following sole-source NSN onto the already established contract between DLA Aviation and Honeywell International, Inc., SPE4AX-22-D-0003. DLA Land at Aberdeen anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a one-time Life of Type (LOT) buy of hardware, on this Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Our market research suggests that Honeywell is the sole approved source capable of providing this source controlled (AMSC R), National Stock Number (NSN). SPE4AX-22-D-0003 is a nine (9) year Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract providing for the support of spare parts as well as repair and engineering services provided by Honeywell that are associated with sole-source Honeywell manufactured system components. The estimated dollar value of this add-on effort is $3,800,000.00. The proposed action is for the items listed below: Receiver Transmitter (RT) NSN: 5841-01-547-5286 PN: HG7210CA01 This acquisition will not be set aside for small businesses. This synopsis details the intent of the Government to release a sole-source solicitation for this NSN to Honeywell International, Inc. (CAGE: 0BFA5) which is the only approved source for this NSN. Only the source previously approved by the government for supply of these items will be solicited. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. The Government intends to use the authority of FAR 6.302 in this acquisition. Any offeror that is not the approved source, Honeywell, Inc., CAGE: 0BFA5, must submit documentation from the approved source, that the offeror is an authorized new parts distributor and authorized repairer. The Government does not own or have rights to the complete technical data package for release. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government.
