The purpose of this Statement of Need (SON) is to upgrade/replace end-of-life audiovisual (A/V) and video teleconferencing (VTC) equipment within Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC) conference rooms. The existing AV/VTC equipment can no longer support emerging technologies required to meet the needs of AFSFC. Failure to upgrade this system affects the AFSFC Directorates’ ability to conduct mission-critical briefings, workshops, and Video Teleconferencing sessions. Collaboration capability shall allow AFSFC leadership to use a multimedia platform to support the collaboration tools supplied by the DoD, USAF, Defense Connect Online, Software Codec Applications (MS Teams, Zoom.gov, etc.), and Office Communicator. The solution shall also support VTC over IP classified and unclassified networks, while also supporting standard media presentation and briefings. At any given time, meetings with different classification occur CLASS/UNCLASS requires a quick set-up. Once completed, this upgrade shall provide AFSFC with conference room capabilities that meet or exceed industry standards, such as digital widescreen format, high-definition (HD) video, and audio services.
