There are two approved sources for this item, NATIONAL AEROSPACE STANDARDS, (CAGE 80205), under part number NAS6606H8 and MAC FASTENERS INC. (CAGE ORFT4), under part number NAS6606H8. The requirement is being solicited on an 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Contract period is for one (1) base year with option to extend term of contract for four (4) one-year periods. Estimated maximum annual demand quantity is 1,584 each per base year and each option years. Surge requirements do not apply. This is not a critical application item and higher-level quality requirements do apply. Required delivery is 158 days ARO. FOB is Origin; Inspection/Acceptance at Origin is required. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the Request for Proposal (RFP). Technical Orders and Qualification Requirements are not available. Potential sources shall be capable of furnishing all labor, materials, facilities and equipment required to accomplish the new manufacture of the item(s). Generally, this entails the procurement/manufacture of component parts, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, and shipping. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The anticipated maximum annual quantity is 360 each. Unit prices will be established at the time of contract award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 332722.
