Vaadin subscription is necessary to support Global Transportation Planning (GTP), Advanced Air Route Plan (A2RP). Vaadin is an open-source platform software used for building modern, collaborative web apps for Java backends. It integrates user interface components, frameworks,and tools into one opinionated web development stack. GTP, A2RP application is utilizingVaadin version 7. This version is no longer supported as an open-source product. Vaadin is still maintaining this version, but new releases are only available for customers with Vaadin 7 End-of Life extended support. Newer versions of the software are not compatible with the current GTP architecture. Vaadin version 7 Extended Maintenance Support must accompany the purchase of a Prime Account Subscription (2 seats). The End-of Life extended support will reduce system vulnerabilities by allowing the developer to have access to releases, patches, and technical support; thus, allowing the program to remain compliant with USTRANSCOM CIO accreditation requirements.
