The NAVAIR, Procurement Group, PMA 271, Patuxent River, MD intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract, brand name specific, for Kimball International, Inc., brand system furniture and workstations. This furniture has unique requirements for power, and functionality within a classified facility. NAVAIR's continuity of design shall be maintained throughout, and this furniture shall be compatible and match existing finishes to maintain a cohesive aesthetic appearance and match the established kit of parts implemented (Kimball Brand) to ensure interoperability with previously procured components (to facilitate reconfiguration of the spaces for future use) and to maintain a common aesthetic throughout. The contractor is responsible for some design, ordering, delivering, and installing the furniture product as mentioned in the SOW as well as to provide a complete bill of materials and quotation for order placement. The statutory authority permitting other than Full and Open Competition is USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The procedures of FAR Part 12 and Part 13.5 will be utilized for this commercial brand name specific acquisition. Intersted parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a quotation. The notice is a request for Brand Name Specific quotations. However, all responses and quotations received before the closing date and time of this announcement will be considered by the Government. Responses should include a company name, point of contact, address, phone and fax numbers, email, and applicable company product literature. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to proceed with award of the Brand Name Specific procurement as outlined herein is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided nor return any information provided. No bid and quotation costs will be reimbursed for any offeror. The Government reserves the right to process this procurement as a Brand Name Specific action based on the responses received. See Attached Draft Statement of Work.
