INTRODUCTION The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to procure Integrated Test Adapters (ITAs) to enable firmware upgrades on fielded SNBC Modules. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine potential and eligible business firms capable of providing the services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this sources sought. ELIGIBILITY The PSC for this requirement is 5841; the NAICS is 334511 with a size standard of 1,250 employees. All interested businesses are encouraged to respond. ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE The anticipated period of performance is 16 months. The anticipated start date is TBD. ANTICIPATED CONTRACT TYPE The contract type is to be determined. PROGRAM BACKGROUND Wave Form Generator ITAs developed under ECP-6346R2 are required to perform field retrofit of the SNBC firmware. The modification kit used to update the WFG ITAs is being developed under a separate effort. REQUIRED CAPABILITIES Required capabilities for this procurement include expertise in the design and integration of AN/APG-79 AESA Radar systems into the F/A-18E/F and EA-18 G aircraft. Due to the non-standard configuration of the Wave Form Generator ITAs, complexity of the task, and the required testing, the Contractor shall have the full knowledge of the processes required to upgrade the firmware and ability to perform those processes in a concurrent with ongoing production and repair of the APG-79 Radar systems. SUBMISSION DETAILS Interested businesses shall submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than ten 8.5 x 11 inch pages, font no smaller than 12 point, 1.5 spaced) demonstrating their ability to perform the supplies or services listed in the Required Capabilities paragraph above. Documentation should be in narrative format.
