It will be under the Boeing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) (N00016-21-G-0006) for the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 6443C4 Incorporation of MIDS JTRS into F/A-18 Aircraft- Update for Hardwire Crypto Hold Retrofit (USN/KUW/RAAF). The Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) equipment is nearly a Form, Fit and Function (FFF) replacement for the existing USN F/A-18 MIDS LVT and Remote Power Supply (RPS). The Boeing Company is the only qualified source, which possesses the detailed knowledge of the F/A-18 Aircraft and components to provide the Hardwire Crypto Hold-Retrofit in a timely and cost effective manner. The government intends to negotiate the contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. GENERAL INFORMATION: The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the F/A-18A-D, F/A-18E/F, and EA-18G aircraft in its various configurations and is the only source with the knowledge, expertise, facilities, and qualified personnel necessary to accomplish this effort. This is an on-going effort with Boeing. Any interested party shall be responsible for obtaining from The Boeing Company all aircraft data required for the support of this effort at no cost to the U.S. Navy. Any respondent must also submit a Statement of Qualifications to demonstrate their ability to perform to the Government's needs within the required response time. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
