The DLA-Aviation is issuing this source sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for one (1) Ursviken Optima Series 2,000 metric (2,200 US) Tons Press Brake. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 333517. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Submission Instructions: Interested parties should submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by March 28, NLT 04:00 pm EST. All responses under this Sources Sought Notice must be emailed to AVN IPE Market Research at AVNIPEMarketResearch@dla.mil. Email subject line must include ATTN: Chris Farrington, 22-25-1010, 2000 Metric (2200 US) Ton Press Brake. Responses should not exceed ten (10) one-sided 8.5 x 11 inch pages with a font that is no smaller than 10 point. This is not a request for a proposal but only a request for submission of a vendor's capability and documentation to support capability to perform this requirement. Interested parties that can provide the required (1) Ursviken Optima Series 2,000 metric (2,200 US) Tons Press Brake with installation, training, tooling, and foundation requirements may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than the stated closing date/time. DLA Aviation is requesting industry input into the feasibility of the government’s requirements.
