The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Delivery Order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N0038320GX901 on a sole source basis with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC) in Stratford, CT. This effort is for the repair of damper assemblies on the CH-53K aircraft. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” SAC is the prime contractor for the CH-53K aircraft and is the only known source with the knowledge, experience, expertise and proprietary technical data required to successfully perform these tasks.
