The Contracting Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price type contract to IRON MOUNTAIN, LLC and will utilize the procedures of FAR Part 13.5, “Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items.” Requirement is Sole Source because IRON MOUNTAIN, LLC is the sole service provider of the required Data Storage and Recovery Requirement. The required services shall include secure vaulting, protection, and preservation of magnetic media and related film and tape material; provide tape vaulting to serve as major disaster recovery center during emergencies and disaster testing, as well as daily tape vaulting requirements; provide secure transportation to/from the secure vault and the military location on a weekly basis; provide immediate (within 4 hours) delivery of media to the military location in case of emergency; provide scheduled transportation services with a total of four trips less than 200 miles one way, provide full accountability of all media, to include online tracking; and, a dedicated account manager assigned to the customer, for the ability to contact 24/7 as needed in emergency situations. Responsibility and Inspection: unless otherwise specified in the order, the service provider is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control. The Government will conduct an acceptance inspection at the point of delivery. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541419 with a size standard of $30.0 (millions of dollars). Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
