This is a notification that the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), 5224 Martin Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898, intends to issue a sole source request for proposal under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. This contract will be issued to Alaska Aerospace Corporation (AAC), 4300 B Street, Suite 101 Anchorage, Alaska 99503, to support flight test requirements for the Missile Defense System in the Pacific Northwest at the Pacific Spaceport Complex Alaska (PSCA), in Kodiak, Alaska. This effort is currently being performed on contract HQ0147-16-D-0003. The MDA requires the use of a launch facility and range services in the Pacific Northwest to conduct tests in realistic deployment scenarios including the interception of target vehicles, track exercises, and interoperations with other missile defense systems. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541715 with a size standard of 1,250 employees. This notice is not a request for proposals. This action will result in an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. The resultant contract for these services will be a three-year base period and three, one-year options. This contract will also include the option to extend for up to six months. Any information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for enhancing competition in a future competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for information submitted. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
