This LSJ is for MDA/ICS to continue providing support via contract HQ085820F0033, by extending this effort for six months. The award date for the contract HQ085820F0033 to Gartner Inc. was October 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with no option years. The current Period of Performance expires on June 30, 2021. MDA intends to invoke FAR clause 52.217-8 and execute a contract modification to extend the order for six months to provide uninterrupted, high-quality continuity of services. FAR clause 52.217-8 was added to the original contract, but price was not evaluated. This six-month extension will provide continued critical support starting July 1, 2021 and ending December 31, 2021 at a total estimated cost of $266,709.00. Per FAR clause 52.217-8, these costs will be aligned with current contract pricing structure. This extension will provide continuity of existing work and avoid disrupting critical IT research and advisory services that support, e.g., IT initiatives and challenges while offering insight necessary to help MDA make informed decisions on missioncritical priorities and key initiatives through unlimited access to published research, inquiries and attendance at events. The mission-critical priority of the MDA CIO’s Office is to deliver innovative information technology solutions critical to rendering missile threats obsolete. This includes the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS), Test/War games, Infrastructure, IT Services and Projects. These services should continue to help MDA advance this important mission and deliver unbiased insight on its key IT initiatives that is fueled by global perspectives and validated by objective and data-focused industry best practices. Without extending these service for six months, MDA’s IT infrastructure will be vulnerable.
