The Navy intends to procurde one (1) Power Control Module with Maintenance and Calibration from DRS Naval Power Systems, Inc. on a sole source basis. As the designer and OEM of the PCM, DRS Power & Control Technologies, Inc. is uniquely qualified to provide the required maintenance and calibration services. DRS Power & Control Technologies, Inc. retains proprietary data rights over the technical data of the equipment, and is the sole supplier of parts and service for the PCM. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) (1) (i). Award is anticipated to be made in June 2020.
