The US Special Operations Command intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract to General Dynamics Mission Systems for NSA-approved TACLANE tactical encryption equipment (KG-175F, KG-175X, and related software). This procurement is justified because GDMS is the sole manufacturer of these NSA-approved devices required for securing classified information in USSOCOM's tactical networks. The contract value will not exceed $2.3 million. Delivery is required no later than 120 days after receipt of order. The Government believes only General Dynamics Mission Systems can supply these NSA-approved COMSEC products and may award on a sole-source basis under FAR 6.302-1.
