Assault Craft Unit Four has a recurring annual requirement for cleaning, operational testing, and minor repair of 22 fuel nozzles used in the Auxiliary Power Unit fuel manifolds on Landing Craft, Air Cushion vessels. The Government intends to award this upcoming requirement on a sole-source basis to Sherwood Aviation, located in Opa-locka, FL. Sherwood Aviation is the only manufacturer authorized to perform maintenance and repairs on these proprietary fuel manifolds, and no substitutes are available.
