The Interim Voice Switch Replacement (IVSR) Systems are currently fully mission capable at all twenty-three (23) air traffic control facilities in and around Fort Novosel. Sustainment of the IVSR Systems is not currently in place. CECOM is developing a long-term sustainment plan that is projected to begin 1 October 2024. Although a comprehensive sustainment contract would be ideal, it is cost prohibitive; therefore, the Fort Novosel NAVAIDS Division requests limited sustainment of the most crucial spare parts that are currently in short supply. Without the IVSR Systems, the air traffic control facilities would be unable to operate, potentially causing detrimental impacts to flight training and increasing the risk to aircrews.
