The requested 11-month bridge contract, with the inclusion of FAR Clause 52.217-8 for up to an additional 6 months, will prevent a break-in-services until the new Base Operations (BASOPS) Support Contract can be awarded which will consolidate the solid waste/refuse requirements (the Senior Contracting Official approved the consolidation Determination & Findings on 23 June 2023) into the followon BASOPS procurement.
