End Item: M1A1/M1A2 Abrams Tank Response Date: 23 December 2020 Day | Month | Year 23 | 12 (Dec) | 2020 Requirements Description: The Redesigned Turret Networks Box (RTNB) Test Jack (TJ1) Sidecar V3 Assembly (RTNB TJ1 Sidecar(R) V3 Assembly) is an embedded sidecar assembly maximizing commonality with the current vehicle V3 Sidecar design. The new redesigned RTNB embedded sidecars are designed to be form, fit, functional drop-in replacements for the legacy sidecars. The Embedded Sidecar Assembly consists of an Interface Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and an Embedded Sidecar CCA for each Test Jack. The RTNB TJ1 Sidecar(R) V3 Assembly is a component of the RTNB1-5 Sub-Assembly which is an environmentally sealed unit that houses control, interface, and power distribution circuits as well as circuit breakers for equipment located in the turret of the M1A1/M1A2 Abrams Tank. This sub-assembly contains embedded diagnostics test equipment and diagnostic test connectors for monitoring interface signals in order to isolate faults to the black box level and utility outlet. The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP). Additionally, this source’s sought notice is not for a developmental effort, but a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. This item is source controlled to DRS Test & Energy Management, LLC, CAGE: 24290. It is a critical item of the M1A1/M1A2 Abrams Tank. The RTNB TJ1 Sidecar(R) V3 Assembly is a critical item for the Abrams M1A1/M1A2 Abrams Tank Program and the part shall meet all development and qualification requirements specified in document 24290-PE53349.
