The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking potential commercial borrow sources to provide approximately 7,000,000 to 9,000,000 cubic yards of clay material for the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Hurricane and Storm Damage Reduction Project. The work will be performed in St. John the Baptist, St. Charles, and St. James Parishes, Louisiana. Construction contracts for the larger project are scheduled to be awarded from the fourth quarter of 2020 through the fourth quarter of 2021, with overall project completion scheduled by the end of 2023. This is a sources-sought notice to establish a pre-approved list of qualified material suppliers for future construction contracts; it is not a solicitation for construction work itself. Firms must submit a detailed capability package, as outlined, for evaluation to be considered for the pre-qualified list.
