This requirement is for the follow-on acquisition of Caretaker Services at the Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant (LSAAP). The majority of the LSAAP acreage has already been conveyed / transferred, but the Army has retained five land parcels to facilitate environmental remediation. Preliminary projections as of November 2019 were that 140 acres would transfer in Fiscal Year 2021 and 1,157 acres would transfer between Fiscal Years 2030 through 2039. That does not necessarily mean that contractor support will be needed through 2039. Budget constrictions have led to delays in conveyance. Services include an environmental program; maintaining the monuments needed for monitoring well locations and elevations; general security; building, structure, road and grounds maintenance; and performing semi-annual inspection, maintenance, and repairs to the monitoring wells.
