Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Joint Base Lewis- McChord intends to issue a sole?source, firm?fixed price award to L3Harris Technologies, Inc. Communication Systems, 1680 University Ave Rochester, NY 14610 USA IAW FAR 13.106?1(b)(1). The justification for the sole source is L3Harris Technologies, Inc. Communication Systems. Compared L3Harris Technologies, Inc.(Radio, 152A 2 Meter, GPS) to similar radios on the open market and past contracts awarded by other agencies; each radio is considerably more than what L3Harris Technologies, Inc. The Navy has awarded contract N0003920F0204, each radio was priced at $32,704.00 each. The Air Force awarded contract FA483016M0029, the price of an individual radio was $ $36,793.00 each. L3Harris Technologies, Inc. has their price for an individual radio at $12,120.00 each. L3 Harris is a large business, cage code: 14304, DUNS# 002204600. L3Harris is a major supplier of radio systems used by all units in the Army. 62nd Medical Brigade currently owns three other models of Harris products for radio communications. The current radio sets will integrate seamlessly with the new radios sets to expand the capability and flexibility of the unit to meet diverse mission requirements However, the Government shall consider all responses received by 03 August 2020 at 1200 EST. All interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement.
