The U.S. Government desires to procure all Police and Guard Uniforms, Uniform items and/or devices, Other Uniform Related Items, and Alterations of the uniforms on a small business set-aside basis, provided 2 or more qualified small businesses respond to this sources sought synopsis with information sufficient to support a set-aside. Be advised that the U.S. Government will not be able to set aside this requirement if 2 or more small businesses do not respond with information to support the set-aside. We encourage all small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement at a fair market price. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. The anticipated NAICS code for this requirement is 315210, Cut and Sew Apparel Contractors. In your opinion, does this NAICS code fit this requirement? A continuing need is anticipated for the two attached lists of items (one list is for Police annotated as “DACP/QLPR Police List” and the other list is for Guards annotated “DASG/QPSM LIST Guard List”) which is currently being fulfilled through current contract number W91QV114C0079. Police List (QLPR) - A facility near (within a ~25 mile radius) Joint Base Myer Henderson Hall so new hires can be fitted for uniforms, uniforms altered and patches sewn on thereby allowing new hires to receive their complete polyester uniforms the same day. - Shop/facility should be available at minimum from 0900 until 1700, Monday through Friday. - At a minimum vendors should keep in stock the Elbeco Textrop 2 polyester pants, long sleeve and short sleeve shirts, t-shirts, leather belts (silver or gold buckle) and the Bates Boots styles E02261, E02700 and E02262 and E02762. - Any items that are not in stock need to be provided within seven (7) calendar days from the time the order is turned in with the ordered items shipped to the store for pick-up. Page 2 - Due to manufactures discontinuing items, changing the style number, or changing the name if an item, the lists provided will need to be modified as needed to adopt a replacement item of similar style and price. In response to this sources sought, please provide: 1.
