The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement for approximately twenty-four (25) additional Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Block I F/A-18E/F IRST systems, which includes an engineering change for reliability improvements and two (2) each of the following units under test (UUTs): IRR, IMU, and ECU. NAVAIR intends to negotiate the effort as a sole source contract action with The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO. Award will be made with authority under FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. As the prime contractor for IRST, Boeing has the manufacturing knowledge, experience, and technical data required to fulfill this requirement within the time required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notice. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. No phone calls will be accepted. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DoD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed effort based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
