Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central, JBSA- Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a FirmFixed-Price sole source contract for reagents compatible with BioMerieux equipment (that is owned by the Government) to conduct microbial identification testing, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and blood culture testing. This bridge requirement will be awarded to BioMerieux, of Durham, North Carolina, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106 (b) (1). The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325413, In-Vitro Diagnostics Substance Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,250 employees. BioMerieux is an "other-than-small business.• The bridge contract will be awarded NLT 31 March 2020. NOTE: This bridge contract will be issued for a base period of 01 April 2020 - 30 September 2020 and an option period, ff necessary, of 01 October 2020 - 31 March 2021. The Government intends to issue a competitive solicitation for the long-term contract for these tests NLT 30 April 2020. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, explaining how they are able to provide reagents and consumables that are compatible with the Governmentowned equipment, which shall be considered by the agency. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NOTE: INTERESTED VENDORS MUST RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE TO THE BELOW POCs ON OR BEFORE 19 MARCH 2020 BY 12:00 P.M. CST IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED.
