The require... The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to procure Siemens/Softing Control System Hardware on a Sole Source basis with Applied Controls, Inc. (Cage: 1CAA2). The required equipment includes central processing units, input/output modules, communication modules, memory cards for the central processing units, hardware to support lab configuration, and a troubleshooting tool for the Profibus network. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority at FAR 13.106-1(b). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
