This is a synopsis notice for non-commercial supplies as prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 5.207, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) seeks to competitively award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with a five (5) year ordering period. This procurement will be issued on an unrestricted basis. The contract will be awarded to the lowest price, technically acceptable (LPTA) proposal. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. NSWCPD has established a requirement for twenty-five (25) Condenser Tube Modification Kits for existing HFC-236FA Air Conditioning (AC) Plants on Nimitz Class (CVN-68) Ships. These modification kits are designed for the purpose of increasing the overall cooling capacity of the AC Plant without requiring additional weight, volume, electrical power, and/or periodic maintenance. The modification kit consists of improved heat transfer surfaces in the evaporator and improved heat transfer in the condenser. Each Condenser Tube Modification Kit will include a quantity of 400 condenser tubes. Any additional specifications for this item will be listed with the posting of the solicitation. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 333415 with a size standard of 1,250 employees.
