The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) is responsible for acquisition, fielding and life cycle support of training systems. As part of this responsibility, NAWCTSD has a requirement to update the software and associated hardware to correct for known deficiencies, periodic capability upgrades, and resolving obsolescence issues for installation into ASW training systems. This Small Business Innovation Research Phase III work derives from, extends, or completes efforts performed under Phases I and II by updating obsolete hardware; modernizing and integrating software to enable future enhancements when improved models become available; correcting known deficiencies that were discovered during the previous Common Acoustic Simulation Environment Fidelity Implementation (CASE FI) production; improving cyber posture; and incorporating a new capability of improved naval acoustic sensors into the ocean environment training software known as Multi-static Active Coherent - Enhanced “MAC-E”.
