1.0 Introduction The 16th SPCS provides monitoring, characterization and geolocation of electromagnetic interference in the SHF spectrum worldwide. 1.1 Purpose The 16th SPCS requires a two 2.4m multi-... 1.0 Introduction The 16th SPCS provides monitoring, characterization and geolocation of electromagnetic interference in the SHF spectrum worldwide. 1.1 Purpose The 16th SPCS requires a two 2.4m multi-band antennas that will operate in the C, X, Ku bands with the capability to add Ka band if needed later. The antennas will be tested at Peterson AFB, CO at the 16th SPCS. 1.2 Scope The Contractor shall procure and deliver two 2.4m multi-band antennas with Low Noise Block Downconverters (LNBs) for C, X and Ku bands. Additionally, the Contractor shall provide spare LNBs, hand held controllers, rack mounted controllers, azimuth motors, elevation motors, and polarization motors. 1.3 Technical Requirements The Contractor shall ensure the antenna systems meet the following criteria: 1.3.1 Physical Requirements 1.3.1.1 The antennas shall be 2.4m parabolic, prime focus, 3 axis-motorized dishes. 1.3.1.2 Each antenna shall be carbon fiber constructed and have a baseline weight of no more than 213.9lbs (97kgs) 1.3.1.3 Each antenna shall store into two ruggedized cases measuring 0.95 x 0.95 x 0.6m each. 1.3.2 Operational Requirements 1.3.2.1 Antennas shall receive in the C, X and Ku bands and down convert them to L-band via LNB. 1.3.2.2 Antennas shall have two receive connections to simultaneously receive vertical and horizontal polarized signals 1.3.2.3 Each antenna shall provide 2 Linear and 2 Circular receive only C-Band feeds (3.4 - 4.2GHz) and 2 Linear and 2 circular C-Band LNBs with a 10MHz reference frequency. 1.3.2.4 Each antenna shall provide 2 Circular receive only X-Band feeds (7.25 - 7.75GHz) and 2 circular X-Band LNBs with a 10MHz reference frequency. 1.3.2.5 Each antenna shall provide 2 Linear receive only Ku-Band feeds (10.7 - 12.75GHz), 2 Ku "Low" Band (10.95 - 11.7GHz) LNBs, 2 "Mid" Band (11.7 - 12.2GHz) LNBs and 2 Ku "High" (12.25 - 12.75) LNBs with a 10MHz reference frequency. 1.3.2.6 Antennas shall have a minimum anchored operational wind rating of 37mph (60kph) with 44mph (72kph) gusts and a minimum Survival wind rating of 74mph (121kph) 1.3.2.7 Antennas setup shall take no longer than 10 minutes and require zero tools. 1.3.2.8 Antennas feed changes shall take no longer than 1 minutes and require zero tools. 1.3.2.9 Antennas shall provide a minimum receive gain of 37.4dBi (3.4 - 4.2GHz), 43.3dBi (7.25 - 7.75GHz), 47.2dBi (10.7 - 12.75) and 5.91dBi (17.7 - 22.2 GHz) 1.3.2.10 Antennas shall have a minimum operating temperature range of -4 - 140? (-20 - 60?) at 100% humidity 1.3.2.11 Antennas shall have ability to store 99 satellite locations. 1.3.2.12 Antennas shall have the ability to automatically track satellites based on beacon signals 1.3.2.13 Antennas shall operate on 120/220VAC, 50/60Hz power. 1.3.2.14 Antennas shall have both a handheld and 19" rack mountable antenna control unit 1.3.2.15 Antennas shall have the ability to be remotely operated through vendor software 1.3.3 System Support 1.3.3.1 Commercial Off The Shelf Operator's manual 1.3.3.2 Commercial Off The Shelf Maintenance manual to include periodic inspections, installation and removal instructions. 1.3.3.3 One years of full hardware Maintenance support 2.0 Deliverables Delivery of antennas shall take no longer than 150 days from time of order for delivery.
