The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD 20670 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to The Boeing Company, 6200 James S Mcdonnell BLVD Saint Louis, Missouri, 63134 (Cage Code: 76301) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The COMFRC Aviation Support Equipment, Solomons, MD has a requirement for inspection, repair, and calibration of the End Item; LASER SIMULATOR; NIIN 01-607-6230. The Boeing Company is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Laser Simulators. The repair services to be provided by the OEM are the only known repair services that will meet operational and reliability requirements as well as have the capability to fully integrate with the Laser Simulators. The Boeing Company is the only known qualified source capable of maintaining configuration control throughout the repair and is the only known qualified source capable of satisfying the Governments specific requirements and mission for this procurement without modifications to existing components. For this reason, the government intends to procure these products on a sole source basis from The Boeing Company, (CAGE Code: 76301). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within fifteen (15) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. The Statement of Work for this notice is listed as an attachment to this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
