Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is seeking contractors interested in submitting product literature for a fully fabricated, cast, machined, finished, and inspected stainless steel door and frame in accordance with the specifications, drawings, and models provided by NSWCCD. Door and frame will be installed by NSWCCD Code 0892 technicians and engineers in a side window bay of the Large Cavitation Channel Test Section. This is a Sources Sought/Market Survey announcement targeting companies that casting and machining custom stainless steel doors. The Government anticipates issuing a single solicitation resulting in the award of a purchase order with Firm Fixed Price Contract Line Items. The anticipated period of performance is for this fiscal year. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 331513, Steel Foundries (except Investment). The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. A small business set-aside determination will be made based upon the results of this Sources Sought notice (i.e. if enough small business interest indicates that a set-aside for small business will result in an adequate number of responses for competition purposes). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This announcement is to gain industry information in the development of the acquisition plan and in no way obligates the Government. No other sources sought notice will be issued. Competition and set-aside decisions shall be based upon the results of this market research. No solicitation exists at this time; therefore, please do not request a copy of the solicitation.
