ONLY PLANTRONICS COMPATIBLE EQUIPMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. This acquisition is being pursued on a brand name basis under the statutory authority of The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1. The acquisition is considered a brand name description per FAR 6.302- 1(c) and is justified here in accordance with FAR 6.303 and 6.304. The government will not pay for any information that is received. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This announcement is a request for quote (RFQ). This requirement is being synopsized as an unrestricted acquisition under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334310, and PSC code 5965. ****NOTE: The required fill-in provisions 52.204-24 and 52.204-26 attached to this post must be filled in and returned with your quote to be considered for award. **** The Naval Air Warfare Center- Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) at Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to procure, on a brand name basis to an authorized reseller of Plantronics premium ruggedized over-the-ear headsets, in support of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 program, Patuxent River, MD. The Contractor will provide the following: 1.0. Plantronics SHR 2639-01 Premium Headset - Stereo - Wired - Over-the-head - Binaural – Circumaural, ruggedized, P/N: 92639-01, Quantity: 100. 1.1. Must be New in Box 1.2. Must be compatible with Plantronics Dual-Channel Adapters. Please see attached Statement of Work (SOW). The contract type will be Firm Fixed Price (FFP). Anticipated Delivery: Will be no later than 18 weeks after receipt of the order (ARO). Delivery Address: Paul Ingram F35 ITF , 22176 Elmer Road , Patuxent River, MD 20670. Technically acceptability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this synopsis/solicitation. Therefore, it is incumbent that the offeror provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc., in order for the Government to make an adequate technical assessment of the proposal. Quotes will be evaluated on a lowest priced technically acceptable basis (LPTA)The clause at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, (DEVIATION 2008-O0018) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. The Government will award in accordance with FAR Part 12 on a lowest priced, technically acceptable basis.
