The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) of Patuxent River, Maryland is requesting information and conducting Market Research to determine potential sources for an upcoming procurement. In more detail, the 2.5.1 competency wishes to identify potential sources that have the capability to provide services to disassemble the 151’ Wide X 110’ Long X 49’ Center Height shelter / fabric hanger located at PAX RIVER NAS and move all components adjacent to disassembly site. This Sources Sought is for planning and market research purposes only and should not be considered as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or as a solicitation to do business with the Government. There is no solicitation package available at this time. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT (SS) ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This SS is a market research tool being utilized to determine potential and eligible sources capable of providing the hardware and/or services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuances of an RFQ. The appropriate Product Service Code (PSC) is J056. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238990 with a size standard of $16.5 (millions of dollars). All interested and responsible businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government is not obligated to, and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this SS announcement. SCOPE: a. The contractor shall provide services and disassemble (1) Big Top Shelter 151’ Wide X 110’ Long X 49’ Center Height shelter / fabric hanger located outside (in area of) Hanger located on Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent (PAX) River, MD. b. The contractor shall place components adjacent to the disassembly site at a predefined location provided by the Hanger Coordinator prior to disassembly. c. The contractor shall discard all hardware (i.e. nuts/bolts) from the disassembly and shall maintain Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control at all times at the site of disassembly. d. The contractor shall cut flush with the flight line surface, all concrete wedge bolts that secure the shelter / fabric tent to the surface. e. Work shall take place at NAS PAX River. Contractor shall follow NAS PAX River policies and procedures applicable to the series being performed while on station. REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall place disassembled components adjacent to site as defined by the government at time of disassemble. The contractor shall maintain FOD control throughout the duration of their service. The contractor shall ensure any/all concrete wedge bolts do not protrude above the flight line surface upon completion.
