The proposed acquisition is required to purchase Response Systems’ CE Edit Software Maintenance for the Financial and Air Clearance Transportation System (FACTS) for a 12-month period. The CE Edit software (located at the Defense Enterprise Computing Center, Mechanicsburg, PA) is a system development and administration tool that increasesdeveloper productivity and application code quality. CE Edit is the companion product to GEN that is used to develop FACTS. Without CE Edit, the developers would have tomanually determine relationships between objects. The purchase of this software maintenance renewal allows the FACTS development staff to: build subsets for downloading; track changes to objects made duringdevelopment; compare code between development regions; identify where a given object is used in the model; view entity & attribute information; find the origin of errormessage literals when trouble-shooting; view code in the model; build aggregate sets for migration and determine view sizes for a server. Maintenance support will ensureupgrades, patches/utilities releases and vendor technical support via Response Systems.
