SOURCES SOUGHT: This Sources Sought notice is being issued to conduct Market Research for information and planning purposes, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government, nor will the U.S. Government pay for information solicited. Additionally, this Sources Sought is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) PGI 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air Warfare Center – Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD), Patuxent River, Maryland, is seeking sources to provide hardware and software integration efforts in support of the Single-system Multi-mission Airborne Mine Detection (SMAMD) Future Naval Capability (FNC) demonstration on the MQ-8C Fire Scout system. The requirements includes: engineering, analysis test and software support to execute software and hardware updates for the MQ-8C Fire Scout systems. The scope of the services covers the integration of hardware and software, Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE), Flying Qualities analysis, Data-link analysis, and system verification in the MQ-8C Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL). The Government does not own, and cannot provide, any data package for the MQ-8C Fire Scout System which is proprietary to the manufacturer. This Sources Sought Announcement, market survey, is for information only and will be used for preliminary planning purposes to gain knowledge of the interest, capabilities, and qualifications of interested firms. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought Announcement or any follow up information. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Responsible, interested parties, however, may identify their interest by submitting a capabilities statement of no more than 10 pages, and no smaller than 12 point font. The Government will evaluate each capability statement based on the interested parties’ (and that of teaming partners when applicable) demonstrated qualifications, capabilities, expertise and past performance. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any responses received.
