The supplies will be provided by Evonik Corporation. The NAICS code is 325520 and the business size is 500 employees. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Evonik Corporation. The proposed action is for Versalink P1000 adhesive that is solely manufactured by Evonik Corporation, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: Evonik Corporation is the manufacturer and sole distributor of the Versalink P1000 adhesive resin. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Evonik Corporation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 08 February 2019. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 02/08/2019, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
