The 531 CMMXS requires a service contract to perform hydrostatic testing and requalification of compressed gas cylinders, Wheeled Unit cylinder (PN 07351) and Accumulator Bottle cylinder (PN 23711999) in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations Title 49 (Subtitle B, Chapter I) and Compressed Gas Association (CGA) pamphlets CGA C-1, C-5, C-6, C-6.1, C-6.2, and C-8, as applicable. The cylinders are ground equipment and will not be installed on aircraft. The cylinders will be picked up at Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) and returned completed to HAFB by the contractor. The work will be performed at the contractor's facility in support of the 309th Commodities Maintenance Group (309 CMXG) at HAFB, Utah. This service is not military specific and is sold in the commercial marketplace. There are no known long lead schedule items that could impact delivery requirements. There are no known environmental regulations or product certification requirements that must be obtained in order to procure, store, or use this requirement. Commercial terms and conditions will be utilized in this acquisition. The Government is not the only buyer, nor do they make the majority of the purchases. Therefore, the Government does not have any leverage in the commercial marketplace. This will be a 5 year BPA.
